French for kids 3,4,5 years old

French for children 3 4 5 years old is a fun activity-based class designed to enhance and encourage children's understanding of French (performing tasks with French instructions but also answering questions) and confidence to speak the language. The activities have various objectives, like developing their dexterity (preparation for writing), their memory, their concentration, their logic, their notion the space, of similarity versus difference (preparation for reading), their counting ability in an enjoyable environment. Children also have to perform in French when for instance requesting food & drinks or playing games.

Each term we review vocabulary linked to specific themes that have been learnt and increase the input (introducing oneself, like and dislike, food shopping role-play, current weather/seasons, animals –what they do, eat, sound, where they live etc.)

Although we follow a program, we happily change activities according to the children interest, mood or tiredness so to keep up their motivation and leave untouched their desire to learn & discover, keeping the learning experience enjoyable.

We speak French to them reproducing an everyday context so not to only teach vocabulary but the language in its whole structure.

Further more, each term, we will present a painter to the children - a painter from different countries, different centuries, different styles - and children will have to copy the style of that painter in a unique masterpiece of their own!

French for children 9,10,11 years old

French for children 9,10,11 years old is a fun activity-based class designed to enhance and encourage children’s understanding of French and confidence to speak the language. The activities have various objectives but the emphasis is on developing and practicing their understanding and speaking abilities, enhanced with reading in French.

They have to ask questions to each other, they have to answer questions related to their school activities and week-end activities and they have to ask their questions to the teacher in French. We speak French to them reproducing an everyday context so not to only teach vocabulary but the language in its whole structure.
Each term we review vocabulary linked to specific themes that has been learnt and increase the input (talking about oneself, family, like and dislike, hobbies, activities (at school, at the weekend etc.), future plans, past experiences, food shopping role-play, describing a place, a person, seasons etc.)

When: on Thursdays

Location: Hawthorn East

Material: a transparent sheet folder and an activity book (A4)

Time: from 4.00 to 5:30 pm.

Immersion French from 7,to 11 years old kids

Immersion French from 7,to,11 year old kids is a complete immersion fun activity-based class designed to maintain and extend the children’s ability to speak French, developing their writing and reading skills in an enjoyable environment. We follow French school program. We also tell stories and play games. We only speak French to them and rephrase in French what they have difficulties to say, which is how they learnt English!

When: on Fridays

Location: Hawthorn East

Material: a transparent sheet folder and an activity book (A4+)

             CLASSES FOR CHILDREN

We don't only teach them vocabulary, we make them understand, speak and enjoy French !

Children are learning very quickly. They absorb what is given to them and remember better what they see and hear at the same time. This is why we tell them French children books : with the association "image sound" they quickly develop their hearing and understanding of the language, reinforcing their confidence with their own abilities and skills.

But not only that! : we paint, colour, draw, learn to count, sing, dance, eat when we are hungry (!) and have fun!

If you would like your child to develop skills like listening, speaking, dexterity... in a friendly environment, you found the place.

These classes are ideal for children who will join Camberwell or Caulfield primary school.

Welcome to the French Formula Language School!                     We are a small language school based in Melbourne, Australia.

As we are smaller than most schools, we have the flexibility to offer courses that can be tailored to the students' needs. In addition to mainstream courses, we also offer a number of innovative programs such as Intensive Courses and Theme Weekends.
